Dear uncle, aunt and cousin,

Just a line, hoping you are all quite well. This arch on the postcard is made with all coal, 250 tons, and took a fortnight to put up. It was for the occasion of the king's visit to Aberdare on June 27th 1912. You will see some Welsh on it. What it is I cannot say as I don’t understand-perhaps you will be able to read it.

Yours lovingly,

Neice Flor West

Hope the bexy to getting on alright
