Just a few lines more my dear as tomorrow is the last day to catch the mail. I don’t know whether you have ever seen this card but I thought it rather amusing. You will see we have quite a number of calls to answer but there are many more besides. I am absolutely fagged out this afternoon. We started out this morning in full marching order and with 200 counts of ammunition each and were marched out about 10 miles. I think we picked out the stiffest hills in the country to climb and my shoulders are almost raw. Believe me it is some weight to carry and we only had one spell of 10 minutes during the march. Don’t be surprised if I write you from London shortly. Nothing sure yet but in my next letter I may tell you a bit of interesting news. More best wishes to you and all at 127. Your loving brother Douglas.
