Aug. 14th, 1941, Dear Grace + Pauline: Three weeks ago tonight I was exceedingly happy over the thought of meeting my beloved cousin, Pauline, + now our meeting is but a beautiful memory - + one I shall always cherish. We miss you folks very much, + we are so glad that you have remembered us with cards along the way for they have taken the sting out of our separation. Thank you so much!
