Dear mother,

Had a pleasant walk home seeing I had two pa’s & a young lady, then Kate and Harry came to meet us. I've just come in from a country walk & ready for our suppers & then bed. I am getting quite a sleepy heady. 9:20 this morning, I've been on bridge & weigh 7st 12lb. We are quite busy in the garden now, getting fruit in. Pleased to hear you are keeping better. Heaps of kisses, it seems ages since I saw you.
