Dear Nellie,

Just a card for remembrance's sake, I suppose you remember this part in the card.

Mother is still staying at Dee Why. Do you know Nellie, it is going on for six months since mother went there. How the time does fly. Annie is with her at present but will be home this weekend and I living there all next month and coming into business from there every morning so that mother will no be all alone at night. it will be quite a nice little change for me. I shall enjoy it coming over in the Malnly boat every morning. The weather is something dreadful here just now, some days the heat is very oppressive. It was own 100 degrees last week but not quite so bad this week although it is hot enough. One cannot keep cool at all. I don't know how you would stand it, at the present moment, there is a nasty hot wind blowing which is very uncomfortable. We each had a postcard from Anges on Friday but there was no news at all, it was mainly thanking us for the Xmas cards, although she mentioned you were going to write to me. I hope it won't be long. Trusting all are well at home and with best love to all. Your sincere friend, Nellie.
