I was delighted with the postcards with which I was deluged this morning. I was naturally much interested in the subjects and I think the postcards have depicted the various situations with a fair amount of accuracy. The scene from Tannhauser is especially well done. The nervous twitching of Tannhauser’s left hand illustrating his intense emotionalism, the half-startled glances of Elizabeth caused by Tannhauser’s unexpected appearance, and Wolfram’s stoical attitude in the background are all good points.
