Dear wife,

Sad news. Alf Jacobs died yesterday from effects of operation. Just saw it in the paper and phoned Ormiston[?] to send [?] with card from both of us. I am going to the house tomorrow. Funeral at 2.30. You will write Mrs Jacobs I suppose. Are you getting the telegram? Let me know. Lovingly Walter.
