Dear Nick,

Sorry to keep you waiting so long. Really thought i had answered your postcard. How is Mrs J. Vale getting on? Is Mary home for the event? I have been trying to get some chickens. Grandma brought out 4 out of 4 on Friday, one died Saturday. Got the eggs from Mrs Chalmers but they all broke. Got 2 more hens, selling one week today. Hope I have better luck.
