Dear Charles,

I received your letter a few days ago and was glad you were well. I am about the same. That must have been a nice father service at the church. I am glad you had a nice time at Eaton. You seemed to have a lot of music. How did you celebrate the 4th? I went to the beach yesterday after dinner. A lot of people were there. Goodbye and write soon with best wishes, from Archie.
