Douglas, 2 August 1907.

Just a word or two to let you know the news. I am having a most enjoyable holiday, and feeling much benefit by the change. The weather is delightful, there has been no rain. We drove to Peel Wednesday, stopping at this Glen. The Channel Fleet (8 bouts of it) are here and yesterday at 10 p.m. Charlie gave us a wonderful searchlight (30 or more lts.). It was a grand sight.
