Dear May,

Re: your gloves. I can't for the life of myself think what became of them. Had an idea I handed them to you at D...... Station but perhaps I may have given them to Miss Rabley by mistake however, I shall try and catch her on the station tomorrow morning. I remember mending them for you but who I got rid of them to I don't know. So sorry- will supplement them for another pair. Isn't it hard luck having only one pair.
