Dear Mama,

I am writing to thank you for the magazines which arrived on Monday morning. I read the story called “The Wreck of the Star of Hope” and I thought it was very funny. Aunt Anna thinks of taking me to see Norham Castle. Bella and Charles left on Monday morning and I feel rather lonely without them. It thundered all yesterday morning and a little while in the afternoon.
