East Gardens. Saturday.

Had a good journey yesterday till I got to Tweedmouth. Then through some blunder our train was shunted & carried up west to Velvet Hall! I had to walk 1 ½ miles to Horncliffe & get a trap to drive me here - astonishing everyone by arriving in the village from the wrong end! Write to me here for Monday. Am very anxious to know how you think you got on in exams. Love from all.
